The Salt Lake City, Utah Fusion Information Center founded by Hal Fox was the first research center dedicated to researching and publishing about cold fusion. Newsletters such as Fusion Facts, the New Energy News, and Journal of New Energy all emanated from this organization beginning in mid-1989 and running through 1999.
The book is dedicated to three classes of people:
1. To those international scientists, engineers, and inventors that have diligently pursued the truth; who have trusted the integrity of other scientists who reported on their new discoveries; who have replicated, and improved, and, in turn, reported on this new science of cold nuclear fusion and other enhanced energy devices.
2. To the new scientists, engineers, inventors, and scholars who now can follow in the footsteps of those who have led, and become leaders of others. You will be the individuals and the generation who will develop, install, and use the new non-polluting, inexpensive energy systems that will help improve our homes, our countries, and our world.
3. To the Children of Chernobyl.

If we don’t adopt LENR over nuclear fission because of the gigantic cost savings, it’s tremendous abundance, or it’s lack of dual-use potential, then perhaps we will make it a priority because of the tragic effects of radiation. Like GI Joe says: “Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.”

since decades it is clear that low dose irradiation have much lower effect than estimated by no treshold linear law.

if the count of thyroid cancer seems right, the fatalities was not so high, and could have been even lower if the health system of USSR did not collapse, helped by Chicago Boys theories.
serious studies are clear that impact on the population, out of chlid thyroid cancer, is null.
the only real and huge impact, like expected in fukushima, is the psycho-sociologic impact of evacuation, causing heavy stess, thus depression, alcoolism, family violence, murders and suicide.

Alain, you are sailing a sinking ship. Regardless of climate kook Monbiot’s hopes, nuclear fission is now cancelled in most of western Europe, Japan and other nations. Why?? Because in Japan we see a “possible” 5% energy loss in Tokyo and a possible 10% loss in western Japan – with all nukes shut down. i.e. nukes off – lights still on.
It is not just radiation damage which we will not accurately assess for another 50 years – it is forced relocation – cost of containment – cost of massive business losses, continued cleanup issues and the never-ending issue of disposing nuclear waste.
Nuclear fission and fusion have both had their day. Fusion is being massively de-funded as it has proven to be a hoax and fraud perpetrated by government and academia. Fission has been eliminated in Japan, Germany, Italy much of western Europe because the people (aka taxpayers) are sick of the dangers and costs.
Try to get over the loss Alain and start to accept the fact that the only nuclear solution going forward is cold fusion aka LANR/LENR. It is clean/green and abundant.

I agree with you, but I just want to say that it is because of irrational fears and manipulation of masses and media.
you say that the real worst cos is linked to evacuation. I add that most of that cost is of irrational evacuation.
The cost is caused by manipulation and stupidity, not by real facts.
of course LENR is a much better solution, no screening, no safety problem, except about hydrogen containment.
But the irrational religious fear against radiation that is killing the fission, the GMO, the shale gas, promoting inefficient photo-voltaic and wind generators, can also :
-> kill LENR!
this is my big fear, that the big religious stupidity that is infecting or mediasphere, thus our politic system, and thus brainwashing our kids, friends … will succeed in killing our only chance to escape from that self caused disaster.
when making the diagnostic of fukushima and chernobyl, the mediasphere forget to find the real cause of the problems.
the tsunami killed all the people, not the nuke: does this mean that we should evacuate the seashore ? we should because it is much more probable to die of that than of radiation. except that there are thousand other risk and that safe life is impossible… should first stop tobacco, alcohol, laziness, and junk food… should care of traffic light, speed limits…
the few kids who died of thyroid cancer, died, because the health system was not working well, and worst of all because the government was unable to forbid milk consumption from the zone…
people could have reoccupied the intermediate zone quite quickly , provided they eat food and water from outside the zone… this would have avoided many sucide, alcoholism death, and crimes
and in fact those avoidable deaths were ridiculous compared to the consequence of that USSR social system failure, the mafia takeover on the economy… all killing few million of people…
and the only study that accuse Chernobyl of a noticeable effect on the population use a manipulative method that put the responsibility of all increased death to radioactivity, and not to USSR fall and crony-capitalism installation.
anyway as you say, my battle for rationality is hopeless…
